Lilac Velvet Takchita, Ivory Sfifa

This takchita is a two-piece set in shimmering lilac jacquard velvet. The open dfina (overdress) is decorated with wide bands of ivory and gold sfifa and fine handwork along both front edges and around the wide sleeves. Underneath, the matching tahtia (underdress) is trimmed with the same ivory sfifa and closes with a long row of small handmade buttons, with a slit at the hem. A braided ivory cord belt brings both layers together at the waist. The two layers give the takchita its rich, structured look, and the tahtia can also be worn on its own. Perfect for engagements, Eid and winter celebrations.
